April 2023/Aviv  5783

Light and Darkness are colliding in a modern prophetic fulfillment of the Passover. Just as the children of Abraham were delivered from the bondage of Egypt, so today we see the battle royale taking place in the spirit realm over the freedom to worship Abraham’s God.

Rabbi Shaul (Apostle Paul) penned it this way:

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

This battle has present natural-world implications. So, we see the political upheaval in the nations challenging God-given freedoms with the threat of totalitarian bondage. It is like Egypt and the Hebrews of old. Ultimately GOD will have His way. In the interim, we stand in the freedom that Messiah gave us through His sacrifice as the Lamb of God.

Believers are acutely aware of our frailties, which highlights the grace of God in His mercy and forgiveness. Look at the Apostle’s self-assessment as he matured over time:

  • For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God (1 Corinthians 15:9 – written in 56 AD).

  • This grace was given to me — the least of all the saints — to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of the Messiah (Ephesians 3:8 – written in early 60 or 61 AD).

  • This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” — and I am the worst of them (1 Timothy 1:15 – written in 62-64 AD).

To be clear, this was not a neurotic lack of unwarranted self-esteem (the scourge of modern psychology) but an honest view of himself in light of God’s holiness. We see the widespread self-deception of this unearned self- esteem in our contemporary penchant for displacing God with exaltation of humanity and abject unbelief.

As Paul wrote to Timothy:
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (2 Timothy 3)

What an accurate description of both the cabal that intends to rule this world and the sad condition of humans when we are divorced from Judeo-Christian guidelines.

BUT GOD…

Just as He delivered the Israelites, He is delivering people today. We just returned from a month in Israel, hosting two awesome tours. First, a network of Pastors and then a busload of pilgrims. Each tour was unique, but both provided the characteristic life-changing experience of walking with Yeshua in Israel.

Click here to Join us in Israel next year!

As always, Thanks to your generous partnership, we are able to continue our mandate to proclaim Yeshua to the Israel and the nations, and enlighten the church about God’s love for Israel. We are ever aware of your prayer and support, and we thank God for you

This month we are sending Farsi Bibles to Iran and financial support to a new Messianic outreach center in Tel Aviv, designed to reach and disciple young people. Please consider a monthly partnership with House of Peace.

With Gratitude,
