BACK TO SCHOOL SPECIAL!
We are rockin’ and rollin’ our way to the Fall Feasts.
A time of
Teshuvah- return and repentance (Yom Teruah/ “Rosh Hashanah”)
Circumspectly looking at our hearts (Yom Kippur)
Anticipation of a great harvest (Sukkot)
We don’t keep the feasts to be saved, but we do we learn of Messiah through them.
The Festival of Trumpets
The Lord said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. On the first day of the appointed month in early autumn, you are to observe a day of complete rest. It will be an official day for holy assembly, a day commemorated with loud blasts of a trumpet. You must do no ordinary work on that day. Instead, you are to present special gifts to the Lord.”
Leviticus 23:23-25
The Day of Atonement
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Be careful to celebrate the Day of Atonement on the tenth day of that same month—nine days after the Festival of Trumpets. You must observe it as an official day for holy assembly, a day to deny yourselves and present special gifts to the Lord. Do no work during that entire day because it is the Day of Atonement, when offerings of purification are made for you, making you right with the Lord your God.
Leviticus 23:26-28
The Festival of Shelters
And the Lord said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. Begin celebrating the Festival of Shelters on the fifteenth day of the appointed month—five days after the Day of Atonement. This festival to the Lord will last for seven days. On the first day of the festival you must proclaim an official day for holy assembly, when you do no ordinary work. For seven days you must present special gifts to the Lord. The eighth day is another holy day on which you present your special gifts to the Lord. This will be a solemn occasion, and no ordinary work may be done that day.

Sukkot on TV in Israel… a friend wrote, “Does Myles have a cooking show now?”
As we prepare, commemorate and celebrate… Psalm 2 is abundantly evident in this time:
Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
“Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
The World Economic Forum, the ‘elite’ wanna-be overlords are ever in contention with the meek (who will inherit the earth, according to Matthew 5:5) The USA and Israel represent the hope of Judeo-Christian God-birthed dreams… therefore both nations are in the sights of the prince of darkness and his minions. The coordinated efforts to disrupt, dismantle and destroy Western civilization are in full view, and thankfully, many are awakening to the nature of this season.

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
Ultimately, the Lamb of God, Yeshua, who is also the Lion of the Tribe of Judah… will triumph and reign from Jerusalem. But as actress Betty Davis quipped in the 1950 film, “All About Eve”, “Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy night”
“Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”
“I will declare the decree:
The Lord has said to Me,
‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.
King David saw the Messiah 1000 years before Yeshua’s birth - (John 3:16) We will meet King David and find out, “What did he know, and when did he know it?”. Many mysteries will be revealed farther on down the road.
Ask of Me, and I will give You
The nations for Your inheritance,
And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
You shall break them with a rod of iron;
You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’
This gospel WILL go around the world (Matthew 24:14) I thought, how…? The pace of precious diligent Wycliffe translators seems so slow… and then came TV and the internet. It is happening. The nations will fall on the ROCK or the ROCK will fall on them. Matthew 21:44 assures us that in our brokenness we can know Him, but if we resist, we will be crushed. “Every knee will bow... “according to Philippians 2. I gently tell my friends, when the time is right, “You can bow now or you can bow later… but you will bow.” He is THE King!
Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Over 10 years ago, Katharine and I landed in Greece just as their economy had collapsed. We filmed “The Kings of the Earth Look Up”, documenting the crush of financial difficulty and the Greeks looking for a “superman” to rescue them. It is even more relevant now. You can see it here
